GHK-Cu
GHK-Cu: A copper-binding tripeptide investigated in extracellular matrix and skin biology.
What is it?
A copper-binding tripeptide investigated in extracellular matrix and skin biology.
How it is studied
GHK combines glycine, histidine, and lysine and can bind copper. Studies examine collagen-related processes and tissue remodelling.
What the evidence says
An experimental rat wound study reported increased extracellular-matrix accumulation. Topical cosmetic research addresses different formulations and exposure conditions from a laboratory reagent.
What remains uncertain
Animal and topical findings do not establish injectable efficacy or safety. Copper sensitivity and copper-metabolism disorders matter. The 50 mg and 100 mg listings are different quantities, not different evidence levels.
