How The Standard handles your data.
Stock alerts and marketing
We store your email or Telegram identity, selected product and strength, language and request time for stock alerts. Clicking Request stock alert activates the email request without an email confirmation step; this is not verification of address ownership. Newsletter consent is optional and recorded separately. Waiting requests remain active until cancelled or fulfilled. We do not automatically send marketing because you requested a stock alert.
Cancellation and retention
Email unsubscribe stops all email alerts and marketing for that address immediately. Fulfilled or cancelled email-alert contact records are removed after 30 days. Unsubscribed newsletter records are removed after 30 days. Existing order/accounting history is kept separately. Old unconfirmed requests expire after 48 hours and are removed seven days later. Operational logs are retained for 30 days. Backup copies rotate after 30 days and may be removed sooner to stay under the 10 GB backup limit.
Systems and access
The website, private Supabase database and Mailcow email server run on our Contabo VPS. Telegram delivers bot notifications. Optional analytics records aggregate interactions without contact details and stays off unless you accept. Only authorized administrators can access customer records. Encrypted backups are stored privately on Google Drive. Better Stack checks public availability and a minimal health heartbeat; it does not receive customer records.
Access, correction and deletion
Contact The Standard at hello@thestandard.md or through @thestandard_mdbot on Telegram. We verify ownership before disclosing or deleting personal records.
